Majid Khoury

Based in Vancouver, Majid is a seasoned researcher with over 30 years’ expertise in communications and program evaluations. His career started in the mid-80s at Tandemar Research (now Ipsos ASI) in Montreal and Toronto. He moved to Vancouver in 1992 as Vice President for a local market research firm, Farrell Research. In 1996 he set up his own advertising and branding research and strategies boutique, marketexplorers. The company was a success in the local market and was sold to Ipsos 9 years later.  At Ipsos, He held a Senior Vice President position responsible for Ipsos advertising and brand research across Western North America, working with major local and global brands. Majid is a Certi­fied Marketing Research Professional (CMPR).  After working in advertising and brand research agencies for over 25 years, Majid changed careers in 2012 to work independently as an extension of organizations’ mar­keting, advertising, branding, communications and insights teams. Majid’s experience covers most cate­gories including services and social marketing, having worked on healthcare, education, distracted driving, and preventable injuries. Majid was born and educated in Lebanon with a B.Comm from the American University of Beirut. Majid then moved to Canada and continued his MBA at Concordia University and started his career in marketing research. Majid is also active with the newcomers population in Canada, regularly volunteering as a mentor for newcomers as part of Canada’s Immigration Employment Council of BC.
